How to Prepare Delicious Spaghetti "Bolognese"

Ingredients of Spaghetti "Bolognese"

  1. Prepare 2 tbsp of olive oil.
  2. It's 1 of garlic clove, finely chopped.
  3. It's 1 of red onion, chopped.
  4. You need 250 g of mushrooms, chopped.
  5. It's of Fresh tomatoes *cherry.
  6. Prepare 1 kg of Mince (red meat eg. Beef / Ostrich).
  7. It's 1 tin of chopped tomatoes.
  8. You need 4 tbsp of tomato paste.
  9. Prepare 50 ml of beef stock, hot.
  10. It's 1 cup of red wine, dry**optional.
  11. You need 100 ml of cream.
  12. It's 1 tbsp of Oregano dried.
  13. Prepare of Salt and pepper (to taste).
  14. Prepare of Spring onion chopped.
  15. Prepare 50g of cheese (own preference).
  16. Prepare of Spaghetti.
  17. You need 400 g of spaghetti.
  18. It's 2 L of water to boil (depending on the portion size of pasta).

Who doesn't love pasta drenched in a meaty tomato sauce! Another option and a family favourite is Spaghetti Carbonara, which I also make often! This is perhaps the best spaghetti bolognese recipe you'll ever have. One pot wonder that will leave you wishing you had doubled the recipe.

Spaghetti "Bolognese" step by step

  1. Pour oil into pot and heat up. Pour water to boil for pasta. *TIP: Put a wooden spoon over the pot to prevent boiling over..
  2. Chop up the onions / garlic / mushrooms.
  3. Fry the onion and garlic until brownish..
  4. Add minced meat to the pot and fry until thoroughly cooked..
  5. Add the tomato paste and mushrooms together and mix together..
  6. Add the tomato sauce mixture and stir everything together and leave to simmer at low heat.
  7. Add the beefstock, spices and *wine to the mixture and let it simmer with the lid o for about 10 minutes on low heat..
  8. Drain the pasta from the pot and rinse off. Add back in the pot/ serving dish..
  9. Switch off the heat and add the cream. Stir together and let it rest for about two minutes or so.(*do not boil).
  10. Prepare the "garnish" and add on spaghetti as preferred. Enjoy.
